New 18 hole golf course attracts third edition of “Pro’Am” tournament

Tunis, October 10, 2008 – The new Gammarth “Residence Golf course” will attract the third edition of the two day Pro’Am tournament sponsored by “Lacoste International”. (October 16 and 17, 2008)

The tournament which is played each year in Tunisia, is listed on world golf circuit calendar, yet another proof of Tunisia’s growing reputation as one of the Mediterranean’s foremost golfing destinations.

The event which will gather some 100 professional and amateur golfers , will also attract several international media, including “Le Figaro Magazine”, “Golf Européen”, “Golf Magazine” and “I Television”.

The 18 hole course, designed by Robert Trent Jones II, will also witness the participation among many other celebrities, of the Tunisian born, French humorist and actor, Michel Boujenah, the world boxing champion Brahim Asloum, Tunisia’s woman tennis champion Selima Sfar and the French actor, Benoit Magimel.

The founder of “Lacoste S.A”, Michel Lacoste, will give the green light for the tournament on October 16.

Michel Lacoste and Michel Boujenah are expected to give a press conference on the same day at the Residence Golf Course Club House in Gammarth.
