Ethiopian movie wins “Golden Tanit” at 2008 Carthage Film Festival

Tunis, November 2, 2008- “Teza” by the Ethiopian filmmaker Haile Gerima, won the “Golden Tanit” Award in the long feature film competition , at the 22 nd edition of the Carthage Film Festival. The Award ceremony which took place on Saturday evening, ended in style a weeklong of film screenings, debates and press points. Tunisia wins Qatar International Handball Tournament

Tunis, November 2, 2008- Tunisia’s handball team won the Qatar International Handball Tournament, which was held from October 30 to November 2 in Doha, by beating on Saturday the French team of Ivry 35 -34, during the third and last day of the tournament. It is Tunisia’s third consecutive win, after defeating respectively Qatar (27-23) and Algeria (28-25). Ivry clinches second place, Qatar finishes third and Algeria is fourth.
