Bahrain’s Gulf Finance House to start work on Tunisian project early 2009

Tunis, November 12, 2008- The Bahraini firm, “Gulf Finance House” will start work on the “Tunis Financial Harbour” project by early 2009, announced Mr Esam Janahi, the company’s Chairman in an interview to the Tunisian Official Press Agency, TAP on Tuesday.

Mr Jenahi said that his company “will present a finalised plan of work to the Tunisian authorities for approval” and that he expects infrastructure work to be launched at the beginning of 2009.

The project which will include a corporate center, a banking and investment center, as well as a marina, a golf course and a residential complex, will help enable Tunisia to develop high quality offshore financial services.

The 3 billion dollar project is expected to generate thousands of employments.

It is one of the country’s leading projects in terms of economic and financial infrastructure.
