Musical comedy version of “The Jungle Book” enchants Tunis Municipal Theatre audience

Tunis, November 22, 2008 – Kipling’s masterpiece, “The Jungle Book” still looms large in the minds of millions of children throughout the world. The touching adventures of Mowgli and the panther Baguera have moved many of us as both children and adults.

The felicitous initiative of inviting Brice Tripard’s troupe for a unique show at the Tunis Municipal theatre met with a great success; days before the performance, the theatre was already booked.

Thanks to a creative and dazzling set up, the troupe, composed of 15 inspired artists, managed to transport the audience into the atmosphere of a real jungle, where costumes, singing and playing enchanted the many children and adults who came to watch the show.

The dramatic effect was all the more magic as the artists, thanks to their consummate art of using space, performed within inches of the spectators, adding to the realism and beauty of the show.

In the words of a mother who came to watch the musical comedy with her 6 year old daughter, this was a “highly successful show. We would like to see this kind of show more often. It is very enriching for children”.
