“ICT 4 All Forum-Tunis+4” opens in Hammamet
TUNISIAONLINENEWS- Works of the 4th International Forum of Information and Communication Technologies for All “ICT 4 All Forum-Tunis+4,” started on Tuesday in Hammamet under the patronage of the President of the Republic.
Delegates from the United Nations, international and African organizations operating in the technological field, took part at the event.
Opening the event, the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Ghannouchi stressed that the forum provides an excellent opportunity to assess the steps taken towards the implementation of recommendations and decisions of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) held in Tunisia in November 2005.

Mr. Ghannouchi said that the recourse to new information and communication and their applications within production systems and services have transformed a number of administrative and financial sectors, enabling them to increase productivity, reduce operating costs and increase revenues.
He also expressed Tunisia’s commitment to develop partnership relations with various countries, international companies and businessmen in the area of investment, promotion of the intelligence industry and the construction of the knowledge economy in order to actively contribute to the efforts of the United Nations for the implementation of resolutions and recommendations of the World Summit on the Information Society and thus contribute to reducing the digital gap between industrialized and developing countries.
