Tunisia to host 7 th edition of Geography Olympiad from August 7 to 12, 2008
Tunis, April 2, 2008 (TunisiaOnline)--The7 th session of the international Geography Olympiad will be held in Tunisia from August 7 to 12, under the motto “Carthage 2008” .
Tunisia will be represented by the four laureates of the second Olympiad organized by the Association of Tunisian Geographers which was organized from March 17 to 19, 2007 at the La Marsa youth center in association with the ministry of education and training .
The four laureates came respectively from the Ariana, Kairouan and Tunis experimental schools.
It is worth noting that, on the sidelines of the Olympiad, Tunisia will also play host to the International Geography Conference.
Tunisia is the first Arab and African country to host this international event whose main goal consists in disseminating geographic culture and making better known the role played by this human science in bringing closer young people from different cultures.
