Victor Sarfati's water colors convey painter's humanism and love of life
Tunis, April 24, 2008 (TunisiaOnline)--An exhibit by one of Tunisia's most talented water- color painters, is currently on display at the ‘El Ain' Gallery in the Kram, North of Tunis. Victor Sarfati, a native of Beja, is presenting 34 water colors oozing with life and energy.
As usual, in the work of this original artist, women and horses loom large, as illustrated by some of his most dazzling paintings such as ‘Women in the fields', ‘Bedouin', ‘Four women' ‘Aziza', ‘Douz Festival', and ‘Scenes from la Ghriba'.
His works which always display people and animals in action, also depict with a wealth of details and sensitivity, scenes of Tunisian everyday life. The chromatic quality of the works is in total harmony with the luminosity of the country and irradiates his works with a communicative love of life.
An exhibit that is delight both to the eyes and to the heart but that is also an ode to Tunisia .
