Tunisia and France sign three major cooperation agreements
Tunis, April 28, 2008 (TunisiaOnline) --During a ceremony held on Monday evening, three major cooperation agreements between Tunisia and France were signed . The agreements concern respectively emigration and solidarity -based development, economic and financial partnership, as well as civil nuclear energy.
The first agreement which takes into account Tunisia's comprehensive approach, strikes a clear balance between on the one hand the free movement of persons and on the other hand , the fight against illegal emigration and co-development.
The second agreement aims at boosting Tunisia 's economy by upgrading it, as well as by increasing its competitiveness, stepping up investments in Tunisia and developing cooperation in the scientific and technological fields.
The third agreement concerns the use of civil nuclear energy and aims at strengthening bilateral cooperation in sectors pertaining to training, the exchange of information and expertise as well as joint studies, in accordance with the legislation in force in both countries.
