Cold wave: President Ben Ali gives instructions to dispatch aid to needy families
TUNISIAONLINENEWS- Following the sharp drop in temperatures in some regions of the country, President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali issued instructions on Saturday to swiftly dispatch assistance to needy families affected by the cold weather spell.
The news was announced following a meeting with Mr Ali Chaouch, the Minister of Social Affairs, solidarity and Tunisians abroad, and Mr Mohamed Charfeddine Guellouz, the Chairman of the Tunisian Social Solidarity Union.
The aid which is composed of blankets, clothes and food- stuff, will be distributed to the beneficiaries without further delay. The President of the Republic also called for following up on the situation in the areas concerned by the cold weather.
