Signing of a joint venture between French and Tunisian electronic engineering companies

Tunis, May 6, 2008 (TunisiaOnline) --The French group “Altran Technologies” and the Tunisian company “Telnet”, have decided to sign a joint venture that will lead to the creation of a company offering electronic engineering services. The new company, which will be based in Tunis and which will have a branch in Sfax, should provide 300 employments by 2010.

This new partnership is part of a strategic goal aiming at developing service jobs in the field of engineering in Tunisia , and in neighboring countries, so as to become the leaders of the sector in North Africa .

Founded in 1994, in Tunis , “Telnet” is an ICT engineering company specialized in software, electronic design, security, magnetic cell cards, industry and automatics. Following its certification to the norms of the CMM15 ( a set of procedures and best practises guaranteeing development processes and projects' follow up), the company is currently a leader in advanced technologies both in Africa and in the Middle East.

“Altran Technologies” is one of Europe 's best performing electronic engineering companies with a turn over of 1591,4 million Euros in 2007. It boasts some 17,000 collaborators in 20 priority countries.
