Sfax health salon aims at making better known Tunisian medical know-how

Tunis, March 25, 2007 (TunisiaOnline)--The Sfax international health and well -being Salon, “MEDSANTE” which will take place from May 9 to 11, 2008, will aim at making better known the range of Tunisian medical competences, as well as its highly qualified thalasso therapy personnel.

Observers note that the sector of exports of health services which has yielded some 250 million dinars during the year 2007, is capable of expanding further given the adequate legal framework, as well as a better marketing of Tunisian medical expertise in the field of aesthetic surgery and spa and thalasso treatment.

So far, thousand thousands of French and British nationals who have undergone surgery in Tunisia have returned home satisfied. On the other hand, Tunisia which has already become a hub of aesthetic surgery, is also fast becoming a pole of attraction for emergency treatments for West African patients notably, but also for patients from Libya , Burkina Faso , the Ivory Coast , Mauritania and Mali .

It is for this reason that the organisers of the “2008 MEDSANTE” Salon are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to attract well-targeted European and African decision makers in the sector of health, in order to set up fruitful partnership agreements likely to overcome the sector's major stumbling stone, which remains the problem of medical costs and funding in general.
