Tunisia's“Carthage Eagles” beat Cote d'Ivoire “Elephants” 2-0 in friendly

Tunis, March 27, 2008 (TunisiaOnline)--The “Carthage Eagles” triumphed 2-0 over Ivory Coast's “elephants” in a friendly football match held at Evry, France.

Tunisia 's goals were scored respectively by Belaid ( 53' ) on free kick and Felhi ( 79' ).

The game was Lemerre's last match with the ‘Eagles', as the end of his contract nears.

The win has comforted the young Tunisian team which can henceforth tap from a pool of talented players; on the other hand, Tijani Belaid is confirming his position as team captain.

Observers also expect that the win will do a lot of good to the Tunisian national team to boost their latest FIFA ranking, after the last African Cup of Nations in Ghana .
