President Ben Ali holds talks with Libyan, Algerian and Mauritanian leaders in Damascus.
Tunis, March 28, 2008 (TunisiaOnline) --Following his arrival in Damascus, where he will take part in the works of the 20 th Arab Summit due to take place on March 29 and 30, 2008, President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali held talks on Friday with the Libyan leader Mouammar Guaddafi, Algeria's President Abdelaziz Bouteflika and Mauritania's President Sidi Mohamed Ould Sheikh Abdellahi.
The talks focused on the issues on the Summit 's agenda and allowed for an exchange views on the situation in the Arab world and prospects for boosting joint Arab action, in light of developments on the regional and international scenes.
The meeting also provided the Maghrebi Leaders, the opportunity to discuss the process of edification of the Arab Maghreb Union.
