President Ben Ali focuses on preparations for Tunisian women congress
TUNISIAONLINENEWS- President Ben Ali received on Friday, in Tunis Mrs. Aziza Htira, the Chairwoman of the National Union of Tunisian Women (UNFT).
During the meeting, President Ben Ali enquired about preparations for the Union’s 13th Congress which is due to be held on April 2 to 4, 2010 on the theme “Tunisian Women, Ambitions, Prospects and Challenges”.
He reasserted the need to fine-tune preparation for this congress, so that it would be a new milestone on the path of enhancing the influence of the UNFT and expanding its programs.
President Ben Ali also expressed his commitment to further consolidate women’s presence in decision-making positions, in accordance with the objectives set in his 2009-2014 program and the remarkable contribution of Tunisian women in various sectors.
