President Ben Ali orders special pricing for Tunisian youths on sea trips and air flights fares
As part of celebrating 2010 International Youth Year, President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali ordered to grant youths under thirty special fares on sea journeys and air flights until December 31, 2010.
The Head of State instructed, when receiving on Thursday Transport Minister Abderrahim Zouari, to immediately put this decision into effect by applying the following discounts:
- 50% on regular fares of travels aboard ships of the Tunisian Shipping Company (CTN) and the company’s foreign partners.
- 50% on Tunisair company’s tickets for flights departing from the Tunisian Republic.
- 50% on fares for Tunisians abroad.
-50% on tickets of Sevenair company’s domestic and international flights.
In another connection, the Head of State enquired about current preparations to meet to the best needs of the tourist season and Tunisian expatriates’ return home.
To further promote public land transport services, President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali directed to generalise use of the information technologies and new communication means, particularly at the scheduling and operation level so as to avoid congestion and respect transport schedules, starting from the next school and academic year.
