Prime Minister receives Saudi Finance Minister
TUNISIAONLINENEWS- The Prime Minister Mohamed Ghannouchi conferred on Thursday with Saudi Finance Minister Ibrahim Bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf, who is currently on a work visit to Tunisia.
The Saudi Minister said the talk looked at the bilateral economic cooperation and the prospects for further enhancing and diversifying it in order to back up the development process in the two countries.
He added that the meeting was an opportunity to examine the world economic situation and assess its impact on the Arab countries’ economies and activities of the economic establishments in the Arab World.
The Saudi Minister also stressed both countries’ solid financial cooperation ties and announced that during his visit to Tunisia, a non-double taxation agreement was to be concluded between Tunisia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, together with an agreement between Tunisia and the Saudi Development Fund (SDF).
This agreement, he pointed out, will contribute to financing a project to protect the coastline against erosion in the Gulf of Tunis (Gammarth, Carthage, La Goulette).
The Minister of Finance, SDF Vice-President, and the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Tunis attended the meeting.
