thousands of Tunisians fans grieve at michael jackson’s death
Tunis, June 29, 2009-Reminiscing the King of Pop’s unique performance in Tunisia, many thousands of Tunisian fans voiced their grief at Michael Jackson’s untimely death on Face book, as well as on other internet sites.
Michael Jackson who gave a spectacular performance at the jam- packed El Menzah Football stadium in 1996, is well remembered and still very much liked in Tunisia, where radio stations have been evoking the singer’s life, as well as playing his music, since the news of his death was announced on June 26. Tunisian television also showed extracts from the star’s shows and clips, featuring his extraordinary talent as a dancer.
Michael Jackson’s Tunisia performance, the only one he gave in Arab Moslem country, took place in the context of singer’s worldwide “History Tour” to promote his “History” album. Some 40,000 people attended the event.
Incidentally, his “History” album was produced by the Tunisian producer Mr Tarak Ben Ammar who in a recent interview to French radio denounced the singer’s doctors who took advantage of his hypochondria, “destroying his face” and “giving him medicine to ease his pain.”
