Transavia launches new flights from Lyon to Tunisia
TUNISIAONLINENEWS- In a communiqué recently released, it was announced that Transavia, the low cost subsidiary of Air France, will launch as of this summer new flights from Lyon to Tunisia and Crete.
The company will offer from March 29, 2010, three weekly flights from the French city to Djerba and Monastir, and two flights a week to Heraklion in Greece. “Lyon is the leading economic region after Paris, and a departure city regularly requested by our customers and our tourists”, said Transavia CEO, Mr Lionel Guerin.

Headquartered at Paris-Orly Sud, Transavia, halfway between charter and low cost company, was launched in 2007. The company is a subsidiary of Air France (60% ) and Transavia.com (a subsidiary of Dutch KLM) to 40%. It mainly serves tourist destinations in the Mediterranean region.
