Tunisia and Saudi Arabia pen agreement on boosting trade relations
TUNISIAONLINENEWS- With a view to boosting trade exchanges between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia, stimulating investments and favoring the exchange of expertise between both countries, a Tunisian-Saudi non-double taxation agreement was signed on Thursday in Tunis Mr. Ridha Chalghoum Minister of Finance and his Saudi counterpart Mr. Ibrahim Bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf.
The Tunisian Press Agency TAP reports that “the agreement is an opportunity to bolster Tunisian-Saudi co-operation and improving results made in the achievement of joint projects, stressed both ministers who also expressed both countries’ willingness to energize the Tunisian-Saudi partnership through boosting the role of the Tunisian-Saudi Investment and Development Bank “STUSID Bank” in developing financial co-operation and the contribution of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) to strengthen the development process in Tunisia”.
The minister also stressed the importance of drawing on both countries’ expertise in the tax and customs sector and set up a joint action plan to strengthen co-operation in these two sectors.
