Tunisia holds 12th military medicine Congress
TUNISIAONLINENEWS- On Monday, Mr. Kamel Morjane, the Minister of Defense, inaugurated the works of the 12th Military Medicine Congress in Gammarth north of Tunis.
Organized every two years, the event aims at promoting scientific research in the sector of military medicine.

Members of the Supreme Council of the armies, the Director-General of the Military Health and a significant number of professors and military doctors from Algeria, France, Switzerland and Germany, took part in the event.
The conference program focuses on topics related to organ donation and transplantation, viral hepatitis, as well as food hygiene.
In his opening address to the congress, Mr. Morjane highlighted the creation of military multi-disciplinary clinics in a number of governorates throughout the country.
He also stressed the importance to set up a national program in military sector in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Health .
For his part, Mr. Mohammed Gueddiche, Minister Advisor to the President of the Republic, stressed the scientific importance of the conference in Tunisia thanks to the prominent participation of a number of major professors and medical staff from brotherly and friendly countries.
He also hailed President Ben Ali’s decision to renovate and expand the Tunis Military hospital which now has a total capacity of 700 beds compared to 300 beds before the November 7 Change. The hospital is also equipped with the latest cuting edge medical equipment.
