Tunisia observes World Book and Copyright Day
TUNISIAONLINENEWS-On Friday, April 23 Tunisia observes the World Book and Copyright Day. Initiated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the event testifies to the international consideration given to books and writers.
On the occasion, a statement was released by the ministry of Culture and Heritage Preservation stressing that Tunisia gives a special interest to the book sector, regarding its creation, manufacturing and distribution.

In Tunisia incentives are granted to publishers such as the State's subsidizing by 3/4 the cost of paper used in printing cultural books, in addition to tax and administrative advantages included in the unique investments code.
The ministry's statement also reviews the incentives announced by President Ben Ali on the celebration of the National Culture Day for the promotion of authors and works.
