Tunisia to host 2nd edition of International Exhibition for Energy Management
TUNISIAONLINENEWS- A press conference was held in Hammamet on the 2nd edition of the International Exhibition for Energy Management “ECOMED 2010” that will take place from April 22 to 24 at the Medina Expo Center in Yasmine Hammamet.
The event is organized by Medina Events and the National Agency for Renewable Energies in partnership with the National Agency for the Rationalization of Energy (ANME).
Following the success of the first edition, the event is expected to be attended by large number of participants.
The second edition will highlight Tunisia’s policy in terms of energy saving and the interest shown by major international firms to settle in Tunisia and conquer the African and Maghrebi markets.
During the conference, it was announced that in the 2nd edition will inaugurate another new fourth stand devoted to France after those of Tunisia, Germany and Morocco.

For his part, Mr. Tarak Achour president of the National Agency for Renewable Energies said that the sector generated 4300 direct jobs between 2005 and 2009.
He added that the solar energy sector contributed to the creation of 5, 000 solar roofs and an additional 1,000 are currently underway.
Part of the show will be devoted to renewable energies (solar thermal, photovoltaics, wind, biomass, bio-fuels, geothermal energy, electricity, appliances, partnership, consulting).
Several economic and scientific conferences with the participation of prominent international experts in the sector, are on the agenda of the event.
