Tunisia will soon host “Cities of the Mediterranean” Festival
TUNISIAONLINENEWS- According to “Businessnew.com.tn”, the Italian website « Libero News » released a communiqué by the Italian Minister of Economic Development, Mr. Claudio Scajola in which he announced that Tunisia will be among the Mediterranean countries that will host the “Cities of the Mediterranean Festival” between 2010 and 2012.

In his communiqué, the minister announced that the festival will be held “primarily between Naples and Palermo, including the major cities of both Mediterranean shores such as Tunisia, Morocco, Lebanon, Turkey, Spain, France, Greece, Egypt, Cyprus and Syria. The festival will comprise economic, cultural and artistic events.
The news was announced following an agreement signed between the Italian Minister of Economic Development, the president of the “Campania” region, Mr. Antonio Bassolino and the president of the “Sicily” region, Mr. Raffaele Lombardo, on the occasion of the launching of the festival in the countries selected.
The purpose of this event is to promote the strengthening of exchange networks between the cities of the Mediterranean, the promotion of the local handicrafts, the development of agro-food and exchanges in the various sectors of economic development as well as in energy and environmental policies.
