Tunisian film in official line-up of 66 th Venice International Festival
TUNISIAONLINENEWS- A Tunisian film by Raja Amri, “Buried Secrets” (La Berceuse), will be part of the official line-up of the 66 th Venice International Festival, the oldest festival in the world. The Mostra di Venezia kicks off on September 2, 2009.

“Buried Secrets”, is the second film by the talented Tunisian filmmaker after “Satin Rouge”. The film features Hafsia Terzi, Soundess Belhassen, Wassila Dari, Rym El Benna and Dhafer Abidine and is produced by Dorra Bouchoucah, Nicolas Wadimoff and Serge Lalou.
It was sponsored by the Tunisian Ministry of culture and heritage preservation, Tunisian TV, Algerian TV, Swiss TV, Canal+ and Cine Cinema.
The film which will be presented in the New Trends section (Orizzonte) tells the story of the confrontation between two daughters and their mother and an ignorant uncle, whose arrival in the household will force them to open up on a world unfamiliar to them.
The film’s preview in Tunisia will take place in October 2009.
Some 80 movies, ventilated over 6 sections, will be presented to the public, 24 among them will compete for the prestigious “Golden Lion” Award.
