Too heavily criticized by Raymond Domenech after the release of the documentary “The Bus: The Blues on Strike,” Netflix has once again defended its work surrounding the Knysna fiasco. The platform insists in particular that the former coach’s remarks were transcribed “without cheating.”
In Le Parisien, Dolores Émile, Netflix France’s director of documentaries, responded to Domenech’s accusations, who recently denounced a film that was “biased.”
“I think he did not expect the public to react so strongly. We asked him several times whether he regretted anything. Raymond Domenech did not express any. (…) It was important to keep certain questions in their entirety so that we could not be told: ‘It’s editing,’” she explained.
Netflix also asserts that the former head coach knew precisely how his private diary would be used in the documentary.
