The delegation of Aïn Draham, in the governorate of Jendouba, is witnessing the realization of several projects with a total amount of 10.862 million dinars, intended to improve infrastructure, alleviate rural isolation, and bring services closer to the population.
The first project concerns the development of the natural spring “Aïn Charchara,” located in the Sidi Mohamed region, in Aïn Draham, at a cost of 170 thousand dinars. This operation will benefit about 120 families and aims to meet residents’ needs for potable water.
The second project concerns the development of the road from Sidi Mohamed towards the town of Tabarka, over a length of 3 kilometers, with the construction of a hydraulic structure. Included in the first phase of the Integrated Development Program of the Aïn Draham delegation, this project represents a total investment estimated at 4.669 million dinars. The progress of the works has reached 60%.
This project is of particular importance as it will help relieve the isolation of the housing cluster in the region.
The third project consists of the construction of the Aïn Draham Artisanal Village. It is carried out within the framework of a partnership between the General Commission for Regional Development, through the Integrated Development Program, and the National Office of Handicrafts. Its total cost is estimated at 6.023 million dinars, while the progress of the works has reached 80%.
It should be noted that the Governor of Jendouba, Taïeb Dridi, visited today the Aïn Draham delegation to monitor the progress of these projects. He called for accelerating the pace of the works to guarantee their completion on schedule, in order to improve the infrastructures and to meet the expectations of the citizens.
