The Tunisian Company for Electricity and Gas (STEG) has published new notices regarding possible rotating power outages this Friday, August 28, 2026, this time in the evening.
According to the communications disseminated for several regions, these interruptions could occur between 9 p.m. and midnight, intermittently and depending on the state of the electrical grid.

The areas mentioned by STEG are: La Goulette, Ben Arous, Mégrine, Sidi Fraj, Ezzahra, Hammam-Lif, El Mourouj, Le Kram, Borj Cedria, Les Berges du Lac, Jardins d’El Menzah, Borj Touil, Sanhaja, Jedaida, Manouba, Aïn Zaghouan, Ennasr, La Soukra and El Medina El Jadida.
Nord-Ouest
The rotating outages could affect: Bousalem, Goubellat, Gaâfour, Chemtou, Nebeur, Touiref, Tajerouine, Ksour, Rouhia, Makthar, Ghardimaou and Oued Meliz.

Kélibia, Nabeul, Hammamet, Menzel Bouzelfa, Menzel Temime, Soliman, Takelsa, Somâa, Korba, Dar Chaâbane, Tazarka, Maâmoura, Béni Khalled, Béni Khiar and Hammam Ghezèze.

Important clarification : the communiqué issued for the Centre region indeed mentions possible outages between 9 p.m. and midnight, but it is explicitly dated Thursday, August 27, 2026. It cannot therefore be presented as a confirmed list for this Friday, August 28, in the absence of a new STEG notice.

STEG insists that the announced lists are not definitive. Other areas could be affected depending on how the network situation evolves and the balancing needs between production and consumption.
The company explains that these possible interruptions are part of the safeguarding of safety and the continuity of the electrical system.
