The Tunis Stock Exchange closed Tuesday, September 22, 2026 in the red: the Tunindex fell 1.18% to 18,651.27 points, and 43 of the 75 listed companies finished lower.
Three block trades on SMART Tunisia, for 50.25 million dinars, accounted for 90.40% of the capital traded on the main market.

The session in numbers
The Tunindex closes at 18,651.27 points, down 1.18%, and the Tunindex-20 at 8,151.75 points, down 1.14%. Since the start of the year, the two indices have risen by 38.67% and 36.42%, respectively.
The Tunindex is now 13.46% below its annual high of 21,552.73 points reached on July 17, according to a TN calculation.
Among the 75 listed companies, 43 finished lower, 11 higher and 10 unchanged. Nine were not listed and two are suspended.
The twelve sector indices published by BVMT are down. The basic materials sector records the largest decline, at −2.95%, followed by the food and beverages and tobacco sector at −1.57%. The building and construction materials sector limits its drop to −0.03%.
Year to date, the financial services sector still shows +53.38% and the insurance sector +51.99%. The Household and Personal Care Products index is, among the published indices, the only one down since January, at −7.75%.
The market capitalization stands at 46.142 billion dinars, down 1.12% for the session, but up 33.10% since the start of the year.
Across all components, the session totals 55,776,887 DT of capital. The main market for equity securities accounts for 55,587,539 DT, across 2,075 transactions and 2,105,943 shares.
