Stock Market Week: Tunindex Falls

Contrary to the previous session, the stock market closed, during the week of September 21-25, 2026, on a bearish note. The benchmark index fell 3.2% to stand at 18,407.77 points.

The past week was marked by sustained trading volume totaling 79.8 million dinars (MD). Volumes benefited from the completion of three SMART TUNISIE block transactions for a total value of 50.3 MD.

Performance of the securities

Similar to the previous week, the SOTUMAIL stock delivered the best performance of the week. While drawing a trading flow reduced by 4 thousand dinars over the week, the share rose 12.8% to 1,500 D.

The ARTES stock also enjoyed a favorable week. The share gained 5.5%, ending the week at 10,750 D, noting that the value amassed trading of 1.1 MD dinars over the week.

In the red, the STIP stock recorded the largest decline for the week. The share shed 16.6% to 6,630 D in almost zero volume.

The SIAME stock did not manage to stand out over the week. The share declined 13.5% to 3.980 D. The stock drew weekly trading of 113 thousand dinars.

The largest volume was in SMART TUNISIE, which attracted 50.4 MD, i.e., 63% of the market’s traded volume.

News

OFFICEPLAST – At the end of the first half of 2026, the company posted a profit of 58 thousand dinars versus a loss of 3.7 MD in the first half of 2025, affected by extraordinary losses.

It should be recalled that the end of the first half of 2025 was marked by a fire that broke out on June 25, 2025, causing significant material damage to the company, notably a storage depot that was destroyed, whose net carrying value stood at 1.117 MD on the date of the event, and inventories for an amount of 4.627 MD that were damaged.

The company ended the first six months of 2026 with an operating result of 1.1 MD versus 1.2 MD in June 2025. It recorded a decrease in financial expenses from 1.174 to 1.063 MD over the same period. First-half revenues rose by 5% to 17.9 MD.

SMART TUNISIE – The Board of Directors of the company, meeting on 10 September 2026, decided to implement the first tranche of the capital increase amounting to 5 061 720 dinars by creating 1 012 344 free new shares with a nominal value of 5 dinars each, at a rate of one free new share for every ten existing shares.

The company will proceed with the acquisition and cancellation of three (3) lapsed allocation rights. Upon completion of the first tranche, the capital will be raised from 50 617 215 dinars to 55 678 935 dinars, divided into 11 135 787 shares of 5 dinars each.

SIAME – The company informs its shareholders that, following approval by the President of the Chamber of Judicial Administration, of the decisions of the Ordinary General Meeting held on June 29, 2026, which notably decided the distribution of a dividend of 0.070 Dinar per share for the 2025 fiscal year, the ex-dividend and payment dates have been fixed as follows :

  • Ex-dividend date: 23 September 2026;
  • Payment date: 25 September 2026.

The dividend payments will be made to brokerage intermediaries in the market, via TUNISIE CLEARING, for the securities deposited there.
