The second site of Kromberg & Schubert Tunisia, named “Beja 2”, was inaugurated on Thursday, October 1, 2026 in the Beja industrial zone. Specializing in the manufacture of automotive cables, it is expected to employ about 2,500 people in 2026, then nearly 7,500 by 2029. The cumulative investments of the group’s two plants in the region amount to around 300 million dinars.
The ceremony took place under the supervision of the Governor of Beja, Ahmed Ben Kharrat, in the presence of the German ambassador to Tunisia, representatives from the Ministry of Industry and the Kromberg & Schubert group, as well as officials, deputies, regional and local managers and economic actors.
A new milestone for the group in Beja
The ceremony began with the raising of the flag and the national anthem. A presentation of the Kromberg & Schubert group and the “KSTN-Beja 2” project then highlighted the planned investments and the development prospects for the site.
After the inauguration and the ribbon-cutting, participants toured the various components of the factory.
With the opening of “Beja 2”, the group now has two sites in the region, both specialized in the manufacture of automotive cables. Their cumulative investments are estimated at nearly 300 million dinars.
Up to 7,500 jobs expected at the new site
In his remarks, Governor Ahmed Ben Kharrat noted that the establishment of this second plant demonstrates the region’s ability to attract major investments, thanks to its advantages and to a favorable environment for Tunisian and foreign companies.
He also praised the contribution of Tunisian skills to the project’s development, as well as the work of the administrations and bodies that supported its realization. He framed this initiative within the efforts to support investment, economic development, and job creation.
The new site is expected to provide around 2,500 jobs in 2026. This figure could gradually rise to nearly 7,500 jobs by 2029.
Taking Beja 1 and Beja 2 into account, the group should employ around 14,700 people in the region, according to the presented projections.
