The City of Science in Tunis is organizing an astronomical evening titled “Space in Our Daily Life… from space technologies to the wonders of the sky,” on Saturday, October 24, starting at 6:30 PM, at the Ibn Khaldoun Amphitheatre.

This scientific event takes place as part of the celebration of World Space Week, organized from October 4 to 10. It is the largest annual event dedicated to promoting space sciences and technologies, as well as their role in serving humanity.

The event aims to highlight the contribution of space sciences and technologies to improving living conditions, to make their applications in daily life known, and to make astronomy more accessible to the general public.

On the program is a lecture titled “Space in Our Daily Life: Communication, Observation and Innovation,” followed by an astronomical observation session. This will notably allow observing the apparent rapprochement between the Moon and Saturn, exploring the reliefs of the lunar surface and discovering Saturn’s rings as well as its main natural satellites.

This evening provides an opportunity for astronomy enthusiasts and lovers of space sciences to discover the phenomena that characterize the night sky and to deepen their knowledge of the movements of celestial bodies.

The City of Science in Tunis specifies that access to this scientific event is free and open to all.
