The management emphasizes that its supporters have always been, and will remain, the source of its strength and the team’s unwavering support; their true image in the stands is that of encouragement marked by civility, passion and a deep sense of belonging.
It also reminds its supporters that the regulations of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) hold clubs responsible for the conduct of their fans and provide for severe sanctions in cases of infractions likely to disrupt order, threaten the safety of people or harm the image of football.
Therefore, everyone is asked to refrain from any inappropriate behaviour, including :
– throwing bottles or projectiles of any kind;
– the use of smoke devices, fireworks or smoky devices inside the stadium;
– the use of laser pointers;
– pitch invasion or crossing of security barriers;
– assaults or attempts to assault players, referees or officials;
– acts of violence, disturbances of public order or any behaviour likely to interrupt the match or compromise the safety of those present;
– deployment of banners or the launching of slogans with content offensive or contrary to the regulations.
It should be noted that sanctions for such actions are not symbolic; they can include heavy financial penalties as well as sporting sanctions such as behind closed doors, relocation of matches to a neutral venue, the prohibition of hosting matches, or even more severe measures in the gravest cases.
The statement concludes in these terms: “To our faithful public… Supporting the team with fervor and enthusiasm is at once a responsibility and a pride; however, the preservation of the club and its interests also falls under a collective responsibility.”
