Economy – UEFA: 5 English Clubs in the Top 10 Salaries

The UEFA published its official report on the financial situation and investments of European clubs, revealing the 25 teams that spent the most on salaries in 2025.

According to the report, Manchester City takes the top spot with a total wage bill of 557 million euros, a European record that year.

Barcelona finishes second with 551 million euros, tied with Paris Saint-Germain. The Catalans rise two places compared to 2024, when their wage bill stood at around 478 million euros.

This rise represents a 15% increase, a notable jump despite the club’s persistent economic difficulties.

The figures show that Barcelona’s salaries now exceed those of their great rival, Real Madrid, which finished fourth with 514 million euros.

The English side Liverpool complete the top five, with a wage bill reaching 509 million euros. The strong presence of the Premier League continues throughout the ranking.

These are Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Arsenal complete the top nine, with wage bills ranging between 445 million and 413 million euros.
