The Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy announced that the Minister of Equipment and Housing, responsible for managing the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy, received, this Tuesday, July 21 at the department’s headquarters, Jens Becker, Director General of the German group BHS Tabletop, one of the leaders in the manufacture of high-end ceramic tableware. The meeting took place in the presence of several senior ministry officials.
According to the ministry, the Director General presented the group’s activities as well as its planned investment program in Tunisia. He announced his intention to launch a project valued at around 40 million dinars, which should in a first phase create more than 500 new jobs.
For his part, the Minister of Equipment and Housing, responsible for managing the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy, reaffirmed the department’s and all its structures’ willingness to provide all necessary forms of support and assistance, as well as to ensure coordination with the administrations and the relevant bodies.
The objective is to guarantee the realization of the project under the best conditions and within the planned deadlines. Its commissioning is expected during 2028.
