Industry: Governorates Attracting the Most Investors in 2025

Written by: Adel Khelifi on February 15, 2026

According to data published by the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII), during the year 2025, the declared investment in the industrial sector reached the amount of 2 484.3 MD, compared to 2 538.5 MD in 2024.

The number of declared projects reached 3 909 in 2025, compared to 3 340 projects during 2024. These projects will create 37 329 jobs, compared to 44 826 in 2024.

Compared to 2024, Greater Tunis confirmed its attractiveness with increases above 30%. The Center-East remained the dominant industrial hub (Sfax, Monastir, Nabeul), but growth there is more moderate. It should be noted that some interior regions show a significant catch-up, notably Tozeur, Tataouine and Sidi Bouzid.

A strong dynamic was also observed both in certain interior regions (Tozeur, Sidi Bouzid, Tataouine) and in Greater Tunis.

The analysis of the evolution of declared industrial investments shows that disparities persist, with a notable decline in Kairouan and a slight softening in Sousse.
