The Minister of Equipment and Habitat, Slah Zouari, carried out this Friday, April 17, 2026, in the morning, a working visit to the governorate of Jendouba to assess the state of the infrastructures after the recent meteorological disturbances that affected the region.
A field visit after heavy rains
This visit is part of the monitoring of the repercussions of the latest bad weather on the road network and basic infrastructure. The minister traveled to observe on the ground the situation in several areas affected by landslides that occurred following the significant amounts of rain recorded in recent days.
Roads and several zones affected
The visit focused on the condition of several roads and localities that have suffered landslides, notably in several delegations of the governorate. These degradations are linked to soil saturation and to the rise in water levels, caused by the heavy precipitation recorded recently in the region.
The northwest region facing weather-related damage
The governorate of Jendouba, as well as other regions in the northwest, experienced heavy rains during the recent period. These precipitations have weakened certain road axes and damaged several tracks, increasing the risks for traffic and the safety of users.
