Meta One WhatsApp Pricing and Business Agent: What’s Changing for Tunisian Businesses

Written by: Adel Khelifi on September 24, 2026

With Meta One, AI in customer relations and a new pricing for WhatsApp Business, Meta is no longer content to sell advertising.

Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp are gradually becoming the building blocks of a single commercial infrastructure. For Tunisian businesses, the change runs far deeper than a new subscription.

The Essentials

The novelty is not that Facebook or WhatsApp become paid: their core features remain free. What changes is the multiplication of billable professional layers. Advanced tools, campaigns, WhatsApp messages, automation and artificial intelligence can now each have their own meter.

On September 15, 2026, Meta officially launched Meta One, its new subscription system uniting Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Meta AI. The group notes that the main experience of its apps will remain free, but that subscriptions grant access to more professional features and artificial intelligence capabilities.

Taken in isolation, the event might resemble the launch of a new Premium line. Placed in the sequence of decisions Meta has taken over the past months, it tells a different story.

The economic relationship between Meta and businesses is changing.

For years, a company would open a Facebook Page or an Instagram account for free, build a community, and mainly pay when it wanted more advertising visibility.

The new model is broader: Meta now seeks to intervene in more steps located between discovering a brand and the relationship with its customer.

1. The company itself becomes a Meta customer

Meta One embodies this evolution.

For businesses and creators, Meta presents four levels: Essential, Advanced, Expert and Max. In its European pricing grid published on September 15, prices start at €16.99, €54.99, €169 and €549 per month. Meta warns, however, that prices, features and availability may vary by region, apps and accounts. These amounts should not be automatically equated with Tunisian pricing.

The interest lies mainly in what these plans include.

Essential adds notably verification, protection against impersonation, a verified channel in WhatsApp Business and increased access to Meta Business Agent. Advanced adds publishing tools, exportable statistics, more detailed audience analyses, team access, more WhatsApp capabilities and more responses from the Business Agent. Meta also explicitly mentions, for this plan, the possibility of adding links in organic posts and Reels.

This last point is important but should be interpreted with caution: the fact that Meta values links in a paid plan does not mean that all free accounts have lost the ability to publish links.

The economic shift is elsewhere: features once seen as simple tools for managing a social network are gradually entering a range of paid professional services.

2. The real change: each step can now have its own meter
