As part of the preparations for the holy month of Ramadan, the revitalization of the domestic market, and support for date producers to market their harvest at prices affordable to citizens, Mrs. Hana Chouchani, Governor of Nabeul, carried out, on Friday afternoon, February 13, 2026, a field visit to the “producer to consumer” sales point.

She was accompanied by Mr. Morad Haj Omar, First Delegate, in the presence of the Nabeul delegate and a representative of the Interprofessional Date Group. The governor walked through the various spaces of the tent, organized for the second time by the Interprofessional Date Group, in coordination and under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Hydraulic Resources and Maritime Fisheries.

This initiative runs from February 11 to 19, 2026 on Habib Bourguiba Avenue, in the city center of Nabeul, opposite Place de la Jarre, with the participation of several farmers from the governorates of Tozeur and Kebili. The tent is open to the public daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (09h–19h).

Gathering several date producers, the space offers a variety of fresh products, marketed at carefully considered and accessible prices, thereby facilitating consumers’ access to high-quality locally produced products.

On this occasion, the governor reaffirmed her support for this type of initiative, emphasizing the importance of multiplying “producer to consumer” points of sale for the various agricultural products, especially as Ramadan approaches, in order to support farmers and stimulate the domestic market.
