The Ministry of Health announced the establishment of an outpatient chemotherapy treatment unit in the clinical hematology department at Kebili Regional Hospital.
This unit, currently in the phase of installing the necessary equipment, has a capacity of four beds, with the presence of two physicians specializing in clinical hematology.
In its response to a written question posed by deputy Taher Ben Mansour regarding the creation of a chemotherapy service for cancer patients at Kebili Regional Hospital, the Ministry also stated that a project to construct a new outpatient chemotherapy unit, with a capacity of 16 beds, has been programmed.
This project, whose estimated cost is 1,018,875 dinars, is currently in the study phase, according to information published on the Parliament’s official website.
