Over 20 Billion Tunisian Dinars in Five Months: Tunisian Exports to the EU on the Rise

They represent 71.5% of total exports; Tunisian exports to the European Union during the first five months of 2026 (71.5% of total exports) reached the value of 20,131.8 MD compared with 18,866.6 MD during the same period in 2025, according to data published this Friday by the INS.

Exports are rising with France (+6.7%) and with Italy (+3.5%). On the other hand, they have declined with certain European partners, including Germany (-1.3%) and the Netherlands (-11.3%).

Regarding imports with the European Union (44.2% of total imports), they have reached the value of 17,045.7 MD compared with 15,466.3 MD during the first five months of 2025. Imports increased with France (+17.3%) and with Italy (+10.7%). Conversely, they decreased with Belgium (-2%) and with Spain (-3%).

Outside the European Union, imports increased with Turkey (+6.2%) and with India (+23.6%). Conversely, they recorded a decrease with Russia (-40.1%) and with China (-1.9%).
