In a media briefing on the sidelines of the 5th edition of the International Tourism and Services Fair “Annaba Siaha 2026,” Foued Eloued, the Director General of the Tunisian National Tourism Office (ONTT), announced that as of September 10, 2026, around 2.25 million Algerians had visited Tunisia.
The Director General of the ONTT reminded that Tunisia had hosted 11 million tourists in 2025, including more than 4 million Algerians, while about 1.5 million Tunisians visit Algeria each year.
He also noted that 94% of Algerian visitors traveling to Tunisia enter the country through land border posts.
Foued Eloued expressed the hope that Algerian families traveling to Tunisia by the end of the current year would benefit from favorable reception conditions and a higher quality of services.
This 5th edition of the International Tourism and Services Fair “Annaba Siaha 2026” was an opportunity to present accommodation offers and tourism services, as well as to strengthen professional exchanges between the two countries.
