The City of Tunis announced that its officers responsible for health and hygiene regulation intervened, in coordination with the head of the regional brigade of the municipal police, in order to take the necessary measures following the unregulated pruning of a tree carried out by a financial institution in the capital, without obtaining prior authorization.
The intervention resulted in the drawing up of an administrative report for this offense. The establishment concerned was also ordered to remove the branches of the trees as well as the debris from pruning left on the public road. Its legal representative was furthermore summoned to complete the legal and regulatory procedures in force.
The City of Tunis added that these interventions are part of the efforts deployed by municipal services to protect trees, preserve the quality of the urban environment, and combat any overstep harming the public domain and the urban landscape without authorization.
