In response to the written question posed by Deputy Halim Boussemma regarding inquiries related to air transport, the Ministry of Transport informed, regarding Tunisair’s rescue and restructuring plan, that the company had transmitted the restructuring program, approved by the board of directors on March 27, 2025, to the ministry’s services to enable its orientation toward the services of the Presidency of the Government within the allotted time.

The ministry added in its response that observations from the structures of the Presidency of the Government and from the various ministries regarding the restructuring program were received by Tunisair. These remarks were taken into account during the development of the second version of the program by the company.

“Tunisair will resort to experts specialized in the field of restructuring and supporting civil airlines, in order to redefine the restructuring program according to a renewed vision,” the ministry emphasizes.

And adding that this vision must be in harmony with the laws and regulations in force at the national level, take into consideration the growing pressure on public finances and, at the same time, propose practical measures to improve the governance of the company and the effectiveness of its management, drawing on best practices and international approaches. “The relevant services of the company have already begun implementing this approach by preparing a terms of reference to announce a call for tenders to select the experts who will be charged with this mission,” the ministry announces in its response to the deputy.
