The Supervisory Commission of the Caisse des dépôts et consignations met on Thursday, February 5, 2026 to approve a decision of great significance: the reappointment of Néjia Gharbi to the position of chief executive officer of the institution, for a new three-year term starting February 1, 2026.

More than a mere administrative formality, this decision embodies a clear choice: that of continuity, stability, and trust in leadership that has profoundly transformed the CDC. Meeting at the headquarters of the Caisse, the Commission thus confirmed the continuation of Mrs. Gharbi’s leadership, praising a career marked by rigor, strategic vision, and the ability to anchor public action in the long term.

Under her leadership, the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations has crossed a decisive milestone. Long perceived as a mere fund manager, it has established itself as a central player in financing the Tunisian economy. SMEs, startups, structuring projects, and infrastructure have progressively found in the CDC a reference partner, capable of mobilizing resources and supporting investment where it is most useful.

The new mandate entrusted to Néjia Gharbi opens in a demanding context, but one that carries major stakes. Energy transition, digital transformation, modernization of the economy: the challenges are numerous and call for solid governance, capable of combining vision, consistency, and efficiency.

Through this decision, the authorities and supervisory bodies send a clear message: that of an institution destined to play a leading role in Tunisia of tomorrow, guided by a leadership whose course is now well defined.
