On the occasion of the steering committee meeting of the specific social housing program, the Ministry of Equipment and Housing announced that it was working, in coordination with regional authorities, to complete and distribute 1,350 additional housing units by the end of 2026. It also plans to launch new calls for bids for the construction of 2,260 additional housing units.

The committee meeting was devoted to presenting the final lists of candidates selected to benefit from social housing, as well as approving the tables setting the price applicable to each beneficiary within projects completed in several delegations under the various governorates of the country.

During the session, the Minister of Equipment and Housing stressed “the major social importance of this national program, which aims to guarantee the right to decent housing.”

He called for further accelerating the pace of implementation and overcoming land and technical difficulties that hinder the progress of certain projects, while insisting on the need to meet deadlines and guarantee the quality of the works.
