Tunisian Olive Oil: A Strategic Breakthrough in China with First Shipment to Hubei

Written by: Adel Khelifi on April 1, 2026

Tunisia marks a significant advance in the Chinese market with the arrival, for the first time, of a cargo of 50 tonnes of olive oil at the port of Hubei Province.

On this occasion, the Tunisian Embassy in Beijing organized a promotional event directly on the port’s quays, in collaboration with the Wuhan Yangluo company, to showcase the quality of Tunisian olive oil and strengthen its presence in China.

The event brought together several provincial officials and economic actors, including representatives from foreign affairs, the chamber of commerce, as well as companies specialized in the import and distribution of food products.

Tasting sessions were offered to participants, who praised the product’s quality and expressed their interest in forming commercial partnerships aimed at developing its distribution in the region.
