The Tunisian Post launched, on Monday February 23, an alert via its official Facebook page, warning holders of electronic payment cards and digital wallets against phishing and hacking operations carried out by parties impersonating the institution in order to seize their personal data.

Attempts to impersonate to steal password and secret code

According to the warning published, these fraudulent maneuvers aim in particular to obtain sensitive information such as the password and the secret code (PIN) of customers, through identity theft procedures and misleading messages or websites.

Call for vigilance against sites claiming a partnership

The Tunisian Post has urged its customers to be more vigilant, reminding that it has no link with certain websites that claim to be in partnership with it.

The Post: “We never ask for your credentials”

The institution stressed a central point: it does not, by any means, request the password nor the secret code from its customers. It thus urges users to never disclose these details, whatever channel is used.
