The general dialogue session, chaired by Imad Derbali, President of the National Council of Regions and Governorates, began this morning in the presence of Sofiene HEMISSI, Minister of Information and Communications Technologies, and his team.

The objective of this session is to discuss the major challenges faced by the information and communication technologies (ICT) sector in Tunisia, as well as the solutions to address them.

The importance of the digital sector in economic development

During this session, discussions focused on the impact of ICT on Tunisia’s economic development. The digital sector, according to experts, constitutes a key driver of economic growth and the creation of new jobs, particularly in a world increasingly oriented toward digitization.

Minister Sofiene HEMISSI underscored the importance of strengthening digital infrastructure in all regions of the country, in order to reduce territorial disparities and offer the same opportunities to rural and urban populations.
