Prime Minister Makes Official Visit to Kenya to Attend the Africa-France Summit

Placed under the theme: “Africa Forward: partnerships between Africa and France for innovation and growth,” this meeting will be held on 11 and 12 May 2026 in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.

The summit will be co-chaired by Kenyan President William Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron. Several African heads of state and government will also participate.

On this occasion, plenary sessions will be devoted to examining several major dossiers, notably :

▪️ Energy transition and green industrialization.
▪️ Peace and security.
▪️ Reform of the global financial system.

Four dialogue sessions will also be organized around the following themes :

  • The establishment of resilient national health systems and the development of local and regional production capacities, with a view to strengthening the African continent’s health sovereignty.
  • The development of sustainable high-value-added agriculture.
  • Mobilizing the potential of artificial intelligence and digital technologies to promote sustainability and economic growth.
  • The prospects of the blue economy.

The summit will also examine ways to build balanced economic partnerships, notably based on promoting innovation, supporting inclusive growth and seeking concrete solutions to common challenges.

The Prime Minister will hold several bilateral meetings on the margins of her participation in the plenary sessions and in the dialogue sessions.

Ms. Sara Zaâfrani Zenzri will be accompanied, during this visit, by a delegation composed of officials from the Presidency of the Government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, as well as the Director General of the Agency for the Promotion of Foreign Investment.
