Stock Market Week: Tunindex Continues Its Rise

Like the previous week, the reference index continued its rally, finishing the week from May 11 to 15 with a 5.2% advance to 17,383.37 points. The TUNINDEX has posted a 29% gain since the start of 2026.

On the trading front, volumes were well filled, totaling 96.8 million dinars (MD) for the week, supported by six block trades on ONE TECH HOLDING (two trades for 3.4 MD), SOTUVER (two trades for 2.5 MD) and DELICE HOLDING (two trades for 2.4 MD).

Stock Performance

The STB stock topped the market’s leaderboard for the week. The bank’s share surged 31.8% to 6.26 D. The stock drew a weekly total volume of 1.3 MD. The SOTETEL stock was among the week’s biggest gainers. The share rose 22.3% to 14.43 D, while energizing the market with trades of 3.4 MD.

In near-zero volume, the BTE stock ended as the TUNINDEX’s laggard. The share declined by –10.4% to 6.38 D. The Assad stock was also poorly oriented over the week. The share fell by –7.5% to 3.90 D, with relatively small weekly capital of 572 thousand dinars.

Ending the week with a rise of 9.6% to 17.75 D, BNA was the most active stock of the week. Indeed, the stock fueled the market with trades of 12.2 MD over the past week.

News

BIAT INSURANCES – The financial statements for the 2025 fiscal year show a 14% increase in revenue, rising from 279.6 MD as of December 31, 2024 to 318.2 MD as of December 31, 2025.

The company closed 2025 with a profit of 25.6 MD, compared with 19.8 MD in 2024, representing a 29% increase.

As of the end of 2025, the non-life technical result reached 9.6 MD against 6.3 MD the previous year. The technical result from life insurance and/or life reinsurance rose from 24.9 to 29.6 MD over the same period. Investment income rose by nearly 8%, to 18 MD.

UNIMED – The board of directors reviewed activity during the 2025 financial year and approved the standalone and consolidated financial statements for 2025. The standalone net result reached 16.8 MD, versus 18.4 MD at the end of 2024, a decline of 9%.

At group level, the consolidated net result reached 18.6 MD, versus 19.4 MD at the end of 2024, a 4% decline. The board decided to convene the Ordinary General Assembly for Wednesday, June 17, 2026, and to propose a dividend distribution of 0.625 dinar per share

COMAR – The ordinary general meeting set the payment date for 2025 dividends no later than May 18. Shareholders gathered on April 24 approved a total distribution of 53 MD.

The company closed 2025 with a profit of 82.1 MD, up from 63.6 MD the previous year, a 29% increase. In 2025, the non-life insurance technical result reached 72.2 MD, up from 53.4 MD in 2024. Over the same period, the life insurance technical result declined from 6.2 to 5.6 MD. Investment products totaled 114.1 MD as of December 31, 2025, compared with 91.3 MD a year earlier, a 25% increase.
